Thanks for the compliment Susan. I must thank my DNA inheritance for that. One good thing my folks gave their children anyway. :chuckle

I am almost 19 years older than my oldest child. We still look like sisters today. :kiss

hi dharma....yes, it is wonderful to have three wonderful adult daughters, and most of all, we are best friends with each other. i get to talk to my baby girl everyday, my middle daughter and oldest daughter 1 to 3 times a week, and to my grandchildren a lot too.

when they were growing up, our home was always filled with little girls....overnights, mealtimes, outings together...you name it, some other child or several additional children were present.

i did not grow up that way....never spent the night away from home with friends, either......not allowed. i was too afraid to have kids come to my house. even as a kid, i knew it wasn't safe enough for me and my siblings, so why bring other kids to the house. the only time i felt comfortable bringing friends home was during those times my parents were separated, but when my father lived with us, forget it.

here's a photo of my oldest girl and me taken 12 years ago (she was almost 20 at the time......she won't turn 32 until september).

btw: i am the one on the left of the photo, she is on the right of the photo. she's also expecting my first grandchild (a boy) in this picture which is why i have my hand on her belly.
oh susan is sooooo right-you two do look like sisters!! both beautiful- i'll just bet your 12yo grandson is also!! i'm soo very sorry that you didn't have the type of up-bringing that you gave to your daughters. but, as my youngest says often that h/o is what makes us who we are today! thank you for sharing that beautiful picture /c us:kiss !! if i can ever learn how to scan-to-web /c my wonderful scanner- i'd be so happy! my sweet husband bought a scanner for me that's far smarter than i am. i can do photos & my scrapbooking stuff & not much more. but one day i may sit down /c the manual??? how many grandchildre are you blessed /c? i bet you spoil them like crazy.... that's what they are for! :wink2:
