    I was lower than low on the ladder then. I said nothing and just delivered my patient. Given what had just happened guess I really didn't care what she had to say.

    my first assignment, at 20, was on a surgical unit that handled all kinds of cases. believe me i was lost around there sometimes. i was very, very, very lucky in one respect. several of the more senior nurses kept pushing me in the right direction.
