ulcerative colitis and skin rash?

by daz2009

I was wondering if someone could help me out... is skin rash / ulcerative colitis related in any way?
A patient has a history of ulcerative colitis and now has a rash that used to respond to some over-the-counter creams but now nothing helps and it is itchier and thicker than before. Is this related to ulcerative ciolitis in any ways or is there a seperate diagnosis one would make / assume?
