Still in pain?

Hi there. Im a 29yr old female and had my very first colonoscopy yesterday. I had it because I had severe stomach pains and went to the ER and they did a CT scan and showed that I had thickening in that area.

Anyways, the surgeon found a polyp which he biopsied and burned..a mass which he biopsied and a divertec. I did have a lot of gas pain when I woke up, but the recovery nurse stuck a tube in my rectum and delflated me

Today, Im still really sore, in my lower abdomen. It hurts when I go to the bathroom, not like a UTI though. And I havent had a bowel movement as of yet, but I feel like if I were to have one, it wouldnt be fun at all!! Im also getting sharp pains. But I guess that could still be gas? Im not really releasing any though. But I have to be careful how I sit, because Im so sore!

Is this normal? And if not, should I be heading to the ER?

Thank you!

Call the Dr. who did your procedure. He can tell you if what you are feeling is within normal limits or not.l
