Are RN's doing peg insertion?


I work in a small hospital and was curious if an GI nurse actually place the pegs. I've been trained to do peg insertion and have been doing it for the last 6 years. Thanks

Yes, in my hospital, depending on the doc, we dothe peg insertion. I haven't gotten trained to it yet, but I've seen in done many times!
