Remnants Of A Cold Contraindication Re Colonoscopy Date?

Hi,

I am scheduled for my first screening colonoscopy later this week. I came down w/a cold last week and may or may not still have some nasal congestion come the day (no fever at any point, was nasal congestion and some swollen glands, mild sore throat which is long gone even now). I am very nervous and don't want to postpone or have them turn me away that day (especially after the prep!), want to get it over with! Not sure if it would be an issue. Any experience w/this?

Thanks!

Please consult the GI doctor for their advice. You are given sedation and oxygen so want to be in best possible shape....also need to look at how soon you can rebook test.

Best wishes 2 you.

Thanks! Think the day before, if I still have doubt, will see if I can go in and have someone take a look to see if I am "eligible" for the festivities. I may be fine by then, but am a worrier by nature (another reason to get it over with!).
