If a patient is suffering from aspiration of gastric contents, eg vomitus, in the respiratory tract, can a N/G tube be inserted?

I don't see why not. In fact, that may be the reason they are getting the NGT to begin with. They clearly can't control their gastric secretions if they are vomiting and aspirating. The NG tube doesn't go in the respiratory tract, remember?
