- Bronze (0 - 999 posts) Earn 1 Bronze star for every 200 posts
- Silver (1,000 - 9,999 posts) Earn 1 Silver star for every 2,000 posts at this level
- Gold (10,000 - 25,000 posts) Earn 1 Gold star for every 5,000 posts at this level
Ashley, PICU RN likes this. - Jun 27, '12 by tothepointeLVNI don't think the bronze stars work quite as explained up above. I've seen many posters with few posts ad 4-5 stars but they don't have 800-1000 posts. Example above BostonTerrierRN only has 629 posts but 5 bronze stars. Why is that?
I still miss being able to easily see a persons post count, experience and speciality. I find AN less useful now because I can't easily evaluate the reliability of someone's answers as I can't tell if its a 30+ year veteran nurse in that speciality or a know it all student with an opinion. it works by chunks and some chunks are bigger than others (it's not every 200, 2,000, or 5,000 posts)

you can click on the stars to show more info ... you can even make this the default by visiting your Settings page
