I got a notice telling me I need 15 quality posts in order to be able to Private message.

- Mar 18, '12 by VivaLasViejasYour post above counts as a quality post.

What's discouraged here is 'post padding', which is basically putting out a one- or two-word post or a nonsequitur just for the sake of adding to one's post count. Posts that ask legitimate questions, respond to another's question or offer at least something besides a grunt to a thread's content are considered quality posts.
You're getting closer.
And welcome to Allnurses!!
