    This question has nothing to do with nursing per se, but just the layout of the website. It is just me or are the ads on allnurses.com becoming a bit excessive? The format has definitely changed, but I'm not so sure for the good.

    Yes they seem more aggressive in advertising. I guess they have to make money somehow.

    I was going to say this too. I used to have a subscription but it ran out. I need to renew it soon. I miss having a nice avatar.

    I used to....but I'm a poor nursing student, and they got rid of student subscriptions.

    Truthfully, that action will make me think twice about subscribing to them once I'm an RN. They dropped me pretty quick, I'll think long and hard before giving them any more of my money.

    I think the free membership is just fine. If my husband weren't so cheap, I would get the paid membership. As far as the "giving them any more of my money" comment...you weren't "giving them your money"...you were paying for a service.
