I've been asked how to start a Blog and whether it is for premium members only.

I think Articles have replaced blogs but want to give accurate information.

  3. Great post, so we can not really post blogs on our own page then,
just post articles onto the forum then? Ah, good to know.

Anyone can have a blog page, not just premium or platinum members. Registered members may submit blog postings, too.

Once you submit a blog entry that is approved by the moderation team, your very own blog website address will be generated that will link directly to the blog. For instance, my the web addresses to my Allnurses.com blogs are located in my signature below. Any member can establish a blog if they are inclined to do so.

Good to know, thanks for info!

Now, at the risk of having to suffer through a facepalm moment of utter humbleness, cuz it's probably easy to see and i am just not seeing it,
    but
whereabouts on my page, is the spot to post a blog?

    I see the "blog" tab,
and when i click on it, it says
    //"Sorry, no articles to display."//

but, i don't see the button to "start a blog" or "post a blog" or "submit a blog"...

You have no articles to display because you haven't made a blog entry (yet).

Once you submit your first article or blog entry, that blog tab will have its first article to display. An article or blog entry can be made in any forum.

OHhh, so i submit a thread, and there will be a choice to submit it as a "blog" instead? In a dropdown menu then, that is where the button to submit a blog is?

ah ha!!! Is that where the "submit a blog" button is, hidden in the "submit a thread" button???
  10. nope, i am so dense, sorry.
but, i went to see if i am right,
i went to submit a thread,
and clicked on the dropdown menu, but,
i see the "START A TOPIC" button,

    and,
when i click on that button,
    i get some choices,
    "New Topic"
    "New Article"
    "New Video"
    "New Image"

but i don't see the word "blog" anywhere...?

You submit it under "New Article".

But you must be sure your article meets the criteria. This is addressed on the following page.

    How to Submit an Article.

We have article contests every quarter. You might want to think about writing an article that fits one of the contest topics. Click HERE for information on the current contest.

For a directory of all the articles, you can click on ARTICLES in the gold tool bar.
