45 Second Wait - Page 3

    Mine switches from a required 30 to 35 seconds and the please wait has varied from 57 to 120 seconds. Really, really weird.

    Log out and clear your cookies

    I removed the snippet I previously put in there so things should go back to what they were prior to making these changes.

    The only change that will stay is the 35 seconds limit (global).

    Not sure what changes you mean, Joe, but I only started having this happen about 4-5 days ago. I'll log out and log back in and report back.

    All day yesterday it was fine. Last night again I got a wait of 180 minutes (isn't that a lifetime in the computer world?) and this morning 135 seconds. One on my laptop and one on my desktop.

    Joe. I logged out, saw a message that all cookies were cleared. Logged back in.

    Checked allnurses.com first, then to AN Central and got this:

    please wait for 168 seconds.

    It's been fine all morning.

    Until now - on Central: "This forum requires that you wait 35 seconds between searches. Please try again in 132 seconds."



    oops - just tried again "This forum requires that you wait 35 seconds between searches. Please try again in 67 seconds."

    Still happening to me. Mostly I think it is when I go from allnurses.com to AN Central.

    Just now I got the Please wait for 150 seconds message.

    yes, you may find some discrepancies in the search wait time if you jump from site to site

    we have multiple servers running our network

    the data replicates itself across all servers but it takes time (seconds/minutes) to do this because we are such a large site

    the server that serves you data one minute may not be the same the next minute

    (there's a lot more to this but that's the gist of it)


    Did you have this problem prior to July?

    Did you have this problem prior to July?
    While I found the change from what used to be a 20 or 30 second wait to a 40 or 45 second wait annoying as could be, I don't believe it was until recently that the wait times, although stated to be one thing were really 2 or every 3 time that. The longest one I've gotten is 192 seconds. And these have all been given me even though my "wait time" was outside the 35 seconds we've come to expect. Thanks again for looking into it.
