Wink thank you to all that responded to my situation

Hey Guys, and thanks for the advice that you gave, I received a reply from someone who was very harsh and would like to say to them that I think they misread what I was saying, just to respond to that harsh reply: If you have a 3.44 GPA then what's your excuse for not getting into a program a GPA such as this almost guarantee you a spot. True I had my chance but did you ever think that maybe it just wasn't my time and when God get ready for me to have it- he'll give it to me. I've been practicing as an LPN for a long time and to say you wouldn't want a nurse working on you that failed nursing school is a cruel thing to say. My opinion, if you visit the board of nursing site and see the number of nurses whose lost their license due to drugs those are the ones you best be afraid of. I graduated at the top of my class in LPN school and have held numerous positions some as high as what RNs do; I just don't get the pay.

You have the right idea Cloey. All in God's time. I admire your determination. You may just have a weak area in Med Surg and the desire to pass made the stress of it overwelm you. I say keep going for and don't give up your dreams. I am sure there is a way you can get your RN still. Don't let one persons remarks deter you. Only you and God know what your capable of. Have you heard of RUE? http://www.rueed.com/

A 3.44 GPA doesn't guarantee a spot in the RN program anymore. We do lotteries in most the schools out here in cali. So it really is just luck. So whoever was harsh wasn't entirely accurate anyway.

Actually, she is talking about my post on another thread...

And that was my point, I have a good GPA and still have struggled to get into a program. Due to the waiting lists out there everyone has a hard time getting in nowdays. In fact, in my area you have to have a 3.7 to even get considered for a BSN spot. Anyway, that wasnt the point of the discussion...

Cloey, I think you misunderstood what I was saying on the other thread. I dont know why you chose to post here about this... I said in my other post that I wasnt trying to be mean--I guess I came off differently than how I really am in person-which is a kind, encouraging person. I was just posting what I thought about your failing out of school.

Anyway, I wish you the best. I look up to and appreciate all nurses, especially those with lots of experience, which you seem to have. I am sure you are a credit to the profession. I hope your dreams are fulfilled.
