From what I can gather, an LPN graduating from anywhere would have a certificate of completion for successfully passing the LPN cirriculum in that area. Many community colleges offer LPN programs, and may even have pre-requisites that RNs take, but ultimately, she/he would still graduate with a certificate. Maybe other states have different situations, but this is what I see in my neck of the woods.
If you go to a vocational school, and then, wish to become an RN, you might have to take college level Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, English and others, versus if you attended a community college, they may require that you take many of the pre-requisites of the RN program in order to have a smoother transition.
