When you graduate from LPN school can you get a job before doing the NCLEX? What is your status if so? I was thinking that I would have to work as a CNA until I took the NCLEX but I'm getting a different impression from the posts I've seen here.

All depends on which state that you will be getting licensed in. Some offer an interim permit until you take the exam, others allow you three months to take the exam............others you need to take the exam first.

Yes alot of my classmates C/O 8/2005 have found jobs that thwy eill be working in once they get their lincense. Some are in nursing home,acute rehab facilities and Dr. Offices' at our area hospital your can work as a nurse tech until you recieve your lincense.
