Thumbs up NCLEX new format thought

I wanted to add this to another thread but my 5 minute time limit lapsed. With the topic being the new NCLEX PN format...etc. My comments were:

...(((a thought ....what with the required higher standards, the LPN must have more knowledge...the making it more difficult...etc.., why wont they increase the pay of the LPN/LVN to commensurate with all of these increased standards ??? Does anyone know if that is in the works??????? Is anyone lobbying for this adjustment?????...just a thought...)))

Re: NCLEX new format thought

With the push for all-RN staff in some hospitals in America, I think much of the lobbying revolves around increased utilization of the RN as the primary care nurse.

Studies have shown that the average LPN pay has remained somewhat stagnant, whereas RNs have been seeing pay increases over the years.
