Hi Everyone -

I went today and took my NCLEX exam at 9 am. I am scared to death - I felt like I knew NOTHING!! I walked out of there feeling stupid. THe test shut off at 85 questions - Is this GOOD or BAD?? Is it normal to feel like you knew barely anthing? I talked to one of my friends who also took her exam today and hers shut off at 86. Why one more question? THis is gonna drive me NUTS. Whats the soonest anyone has gotten results?

Help me feel better about this before I have NO more fingernails!!!

Re: Nclex

I took mine today as well. I am also a mess. Mine turned off at 90 questions and I almost fainted. I feel like I didnt get NEARLY enough questions asked of me. I mean there were no easy or basic or common sense questions!
Fingernails? What fingernails....

I took mine this morning. Felt the same way with a lot of the questions. Shut off at 85. Here in CA, I have to wait 3 weeks to get the results. I am going to be going crazy by then!

Yes tell me about it! I took mine the 23rd and still waiting of course. Yah its bout 3-4 weeks. Mine shut off at 85 too. I keep praying too for to pass. You think you know some things then you wonder about the answer you are putting. Mine seemed hard. I hope that is a good thing

Re: Nclex

Took the TEST of all tests today!!! I have mixed feelings, and they have dabbled too and fro from happy to sad. Right now I'm feeling just a big blank. I had 85 questions, but the questions weren't like any of the ones I studied for the past 2 weeks!!! The orange Saunders book might as well be bon fire material!!!! I had absolutely no math questions, about 10 of the lovely "check all that apply", around 10 pharm questions, where I actually knew only 3 of the drugs they talked about, and a few priority questions. I left the testing center feeling like I wasted 2 weeks of studying for nothing. A BIG ROLL OF THE CRAP DICE!!! Please, please let me pass, I do not want to go through that again!!!!!
It was indeed hellish!!!

Yes those tests are definetly one one does not want to mess with again. To have stuff you never studied before on the test is horrible I know cause you are wondering out of only these 4 answers which one it is. I hope things turn out very good 4 you. Will you know in days or weeks of your results??

this is exactly how I feel. No math questions, no procedures, very little lab stuff. And yes, I studied with Saunders and the only thing that helped somewhat was some of the "stradegy" stuff. not one of the 90 questions was a "common sense" question". You know how in school you're taking a test and you get those confidence building questions that you just breeze through? None of those. Mind you, I was at the top of my graduating class. I have no idea how others who didn't do as well in school, will do on the NCLEX. :
still freaking out in SF....

Re: Nclex

Good luck to all of you awaiting the results of your tests! I took mine July 29th and had 85 questions. Thank goodness I only had to wait 48hrs until I saw the results that I passed! You go through such a myriad of emotions! I really feel for all of you and I want to offer you all a big hug and lots of prayers!

Love,
NNNikki

Re: Nclex

I took my test today at 9am and didn't get out until 1pm. I had to answer all 265 questions. I studied using the Saunders book, Mosby NCLEX flashcards, and bought a REALLY expensive online review program as well. During the test it seemed as though none of this studying helped at all. I was a good student in school and have been working as a GN (which I love). I have a feeling that I failed...does anyone out there know if 265 is the magic number for failing. I've been sick to my stomach over it...cried the whole way home from the test
