You can look into Weatherford , Hill, DCCD or Navarro . There are several others in the area. I don't know if you will have time to apply for the fall semester. Oh you could go to Concord in Arlington, they admit 3 times a years I think.....

DNI in Dallas also admits several day and evening/weekend classes about every three months.

Re: Lvn Help In Dallas / Ft Worth Area

I just know that I myself have sent many, many emails to DNI and have recieved prompt replies. I can give you the web site if you wnat to go on and have a look. I just know that they admit quiet often and the cost is around 18,500. You have to take the net test about six weeks before you plan to enroll. I myself have heard of Platt, but not sure they are accredited. DNI is on the approval list of the state BON. So, be very careful because they actually shut down a few for non-accredidation and the students lost all their money and got no degree. Sorry for the long post. Here's the web site to DNI. www.dni.edu, it's got almost all the information on here. Any thing you still can't find on here or need to know you can email ssmith@dni.edu and he will respond very quick. Hope this helps.

Re: Lvn Help In Dallas / Ft Worth Area

I know it is expensive ( I think 20k) and relatively easy to get in. Basically pass the little entrance test and if they have a spot then you get it. I know they have a full and part time option. I have a friend that started Jan and seems to like it. She had no previous college credits. I know her sister was applying but needed her GED first, she got that and is now applying. If you wanted to get into nursing school fast this would be the way to do it. Caution yourself to other schools in the area such as DNI and Platt. I read that there were some LVN school in Dallas that never had the approval from the BON and therefore students were stuck with nothing in the end. There were 3 schools and I cannot remember which ones, but I know concorde is not one of them...just do your research...good luck

Re: Lvn Help In Dallas / Ft Worth Area

Just google Texas Board of Nursing. On their website under Nursing Education is a list of all the approved Vocational Nursing schools. Concorde has good reputation and has been around for a while, they used to be a small private school started and run by some local nurses before they became Concorde. I don't know about the other schools in Dallas. DNI used to be called North Texas Professional Career Institute (or something along those lines). I went to school with a few students who left from there, they said it was very disorganized. It might be different now though.
