Hi All,

I just recently found out that I passed my boards and there is a nursing home where we did our clinicals that I feel I would enjoy working at. I liked the facility, the staff and I grew quite fond of a few of the patients. I would I go about inquiring about employment at this facility? I have no previous employment in the medical field, so I don't think a resume would work.

call up human resource or the DON and ask them where you can pick up a application. then tell them you did your clinicals there and that you enjoyed your clinicals and would like to work there... do they have any openings? keep me posted and good luck

The last facility I had clinicals at hired me right out of school, and I didn't even have a license yet! They hired me as an aide, and after I passed boards I started orientation as a nurse. They seemed almost happier than me to have me there! They understand that most of what we learn about nursing comes from on-the-job training, anyway, so you're lack of experience shouldn't hurt you any on your job hunt.
