I am wondering.....
What do you think would be the LVN job that would give the absolute highest pay we can earn as an LVN?

San Francisco, California is considered a place where the cost of living is the highest in the nation..The top pay for a LPN/LVN at the San Francico county hospital is $28.51...
When you think about wages, you have to consider the area you live in, in terms of the cost of living..And usually county hospitals pay the most out of all hospitals because they are public hospitals..That is in California..

yea, but 28.51 isn't going very far in SanFran.... considering that a 3 bedroom 1.5 or 2 bath house in a semi-decent neighborhood can easily run $300,000+.
I'd venture a guess that corrections nurses and contract nurses willing to work strikes are pulling in the most as far as LPN pay is concerned. Why do they get the $$$? Because not many people want to work those jobs. If working around convicted murderers/rapists/sex offenders/etc. doesn't bother you, that's where I'd look... working strikes has to be a drag. Plus, it's kinda shafting the nurses, especially if they have a ligitimate reason for being P.O.'ed at that facility.

Try more like 700,000 or more. My husbands grandparents sold a one bedroom shack right inside S.F. for a little over 700,000 two years ago....

An average-looking home is going to cost nearly $1,000,000 in San Francisco County. You could find a condo/townhome in Pacoima (Los Angeles County) for $300,000; however, Pacoima is dangerous and the LVN pay is low. I know someone who earns $15.00 hourly at an outpatient clinic located in Pacoima.
Prison LPNs/LVNs and area agency LPNs/LVNs tend to earn the most money because most people don't want those jobs.

You have to realize when I said prison in California, I was talking about the ones with the death row inmates..You know, killers, child molestors, etc...These are very violent and dangerous people.
