Say you are writing a Letter of Interest, do you sign your name at the bottom and then put, 'LVN' (as in, Jane Doe, LVN) or would you just put, Jane Doe?
If the letter has anything to do with me being a nurse, then I use my title. A letter of interest for a nursing job would be a time where I would use my title. HTH
If it's not employment-related, I never use the 'LVN' title when writing letters. For example, I wouldn't use the title 'LVN' when writing a letter to the editor of my local newspaper for something unrelated to nursing.
Nursing is not who I am; rather, it is how I carve out a livelihood.
