my girl friend likes to smoke pot. i don't due to drug testing I work in az and im wondering if we get pulled over in a car and she has possession of some weed and we both get charged can I lose my nurse lic and be placed on a ban list not to be hires as a nurse.I hate to end my carear early for some second hand smoke

Even if it doesn't cost your job or license, the hassle factor would seem to me to be pretty high. Do you really want to be in the position of explaining yourself to the BON or whomever?

Your girl friend needs to smoke elsewhere, and not carry it with her when she's with you. If she cares about you, that should not be too difficult for her to do.

Most states you can loose you licence and better yet, as a bonus you can go to jail for posession. I think the Boys in Blue hear "that's not mine, it must be my girl/boyfriends" from time to time; as has the BON. A nursing licence is a lot to risk for a little grass. This isn't the 70s anymore when they used to dump out your stash and tell you to keep it at home. The law around here (N.E. Ohio) takes it to the wall for posession.
