OMG....I can't believe you hit your daughter in the head with the door!! What kind of mom are you? J/K!!!!!!!!!

Actually, it's kind of a funny story...."IF" she's not hurt to badly.

Sounds like something that would happen at my house....like the the other day my elbow hit my 9 yo in the face as I turned around (hands on hips.....) not knowing she was walking up right behind/beside me. Oops.

Luckily, I wasn't in a hurry, so it didn't hit her hard....no black eye.

Re: Would this be child abuse?

when tiffy was 2 yo, i was shutting the bathroom door, not noticing her tiny, bare foot in the door.
i hear a piercing scream, followed by endless crying.
(brought her to the er, no fx).

she was limping around for a couple of days.
someone asked her what happened to her foot.

tiffany: "mummy bwoke it".

sigh...
slump.

i empathize, tazz.

When one of my girls was in preschool she came up to the car door just as I was opening it, it hit her in the head (she got a bump, but was otherwise OK) and for months she'd come out with, "Mama hit me with the car." Technically she was right, but . . .

Years ago a 7-yr-old boy with osteogenesis imperfecta came in with a femur fx.

Me: How did this happen?

Him (very matter of fact): My sister stepped on me!
