My number is listed because it's too expensive to have it unlisted and besides I never know who might just decide to look me up and call. It has happened several times. I keep my cell on me. I only give the number to those people who I don't mind be bothered by at anytime of the day. I keep it turned off in the appropriate places.

Only have a cell here. We got three for a flat rate, unlimited long distance and unlimited texting with Metro PCS. Couldn't afford a cell otherwise.

And it's unlisted, has caller ID, call waiting, voicemail, and other little gizmos and gadgets on it. I'm quite pleased with the package.

Unlisted home number. Hubby insisted on that when we moved 2 years ago, and I thought he was going overboard, but now I'm in total agreement. I can count on 1 hand the # of telemarketer calls we've had in 2 years, and dinner is NEVER interrupted anymore.

Only a handful of people have my cell #, and I get very cranky if they use if for social calls. It is intended for my girls' school to reach me in emergencies, and hubby to keep in touch when he is out of town. Any other conversation can wait until I am home.

And I have NEVER given my cell phone number to an employer. Unless they intend to pay my monthly bill, they have no right to intrude on my personal time, or run up expensive minutes calling to ask me to work OT. I'll check my voice mail when I get home, and tell them, "No!"

Amen, employers don't have my cell number either!! We have call block which blocks all sales calls because anyone who won't allow their number to show up on caller ID gets a taped notice that their call won't go through. Works great!

My number has been unlisted ever since I got my license. Working in the ER, it was too dangerous to have my number listed. Cell is also unlisted. Employer has my cell number but it was made clear that it's to be used only in emergency. Calling to find out if I will trade a shift in two weeks is not an emergency.......

Same as Tina. I really need a cell phone as I'm on the road alot. In hurricane season, I feel more comfortable with it, paired with a car recharger. And with family medical problems, I feel better knowing my family each has their own and can contact me (not even using up minutes).

Cell phone. Have no landline phones at my house. My boyfriend has a cell phone only too. There's no need for landlines in my house since long distance is free on cells. Of course is unlisted...all cells are.

Unlisted and dh and I each have cell phones. The LAN line started out as mine when I was living alone so I gladly paid the extra $4 or so a month to keep it private. I never get calls from telemarketers unless it's a group that I've already donated to. Work does not have our cell numbers for obvious reasons. They're not paying our bills.
