What did you do with your old computer?

My old computer with the huge boxy monitor is taking up space on the floor in my extra bedroom. I'm not sure what to do with it. It has been taking up residence in the room for quite some time (and not paying rent-lol). I'm not that computer savvy but I'm sure there is personal info on it so I am worried about security issues. My 14 yo daughter doesn't really play games on the computer so setting it up in her room doesn't seem like a good idea. No way I'd let her have internet access while locked away in her bedroom. BTW, it started acting crazy and was probably infected with multiple viruses. I can't remember but I think I had it looked at and it was beyond repair or was going to cost too much to fix.

Any ideas?

You can save all personal information to cd and then delete them off the computer. Then see if there's an organization that could use a computer for job training, job search, etc.
