Hi, Diarygirl! I can remember trying to do that ... I used to work nites, my fav shift, but sometimes it was hard just keeping the eyes open ...

Back to work tonite after a very relaxing weekend off. I've also been away fromm allnurses, so haven't read the threads.Hope you all well;

Work is OK so far tonite.We are 1 RN down again, as usual. However, we also have 3 empty beds. I'm first up for an admit. So far have not heard of anyone coming.

Diary, I take it you're nite is quiet? That's always a good thing.

I hope to have a nice quiet day Tuesday; DH is supposed to go golfing, so that gives me the house to myself. Well, it may be raining, so he won't golf--but he says he;ll go regardless. Who knows---these golfers--they're a breed unto themselves!!
I would like to get some extra rest as I have a bad cold with a terrible cough!! Need to rest to get rid of it!!

Hey there nursemary - we are also down a nurse tonight!! And it's a Monday night - I can see for a weekend, but not a week night.... Things are going good - I think all 4 of us have 6 patients so far and Krista and I have an empty bed apeice. But everyone has been resting so far, thank goodness!!

Hi Diary;

This is an unusual Monday;
We each have 5 pt's tonite; We each have an empty bed.

Usually Mon is one of our busiest nites.
Most of mine are resting; just a couple of pain pills; I do have one guy in restraints, tho. I guess he transferred to us on PM's--he can be very wild, so I'm told. Here with Mental Status changes.No history available.
Combative & agitated at times. Sl;eeping so far, but does seem a bit more restl;ess in the past hour. Thinking he might be due for an ativan. We'll see.
