He is 5 today (my little baby is 5 now )

I am at work again, but it is my last night for the next 5 days! Yaaaayy!!

Happy Birthday to your son!!

Although I have no kids, my nieces are like the children I'll never have. I cried when they turned 2 because "they grew up so fast." I'll be a mess at graduations and marriages. I miss it when they used to cuddle up to me. But, I've got 2 new ones to cuddle with.

Are you going to get him the new Spiderman doll? Guess we can't call it a doll if it's for a boy, so I'll call it a toy.

Well, I got him that backpack thing and then I was actually going to get him a small tv that he could use just to play his movies in. He won't be able to get reception for watching real tv though, that would be too much.
He is having a party this weekend and we rented an inflatable bouncer for all the kids. It is going to be so much fun. I told my dd that she could invite some of her friends too (she is 8).

I love those inflatable bouncy things! Can I come? I can bring food and a present. I'll even help clean up. Hope you have good weather!

I do have one memory of being inside the bouncer with balls. We had all just eaten birthday cake and had red punch. You can guess what happened next. Poor birthday girl puked everywhere.

Hello again, beth! What are you doing up so late? I know it's late "up/over!"

It's the eve of ANZAC DAY here in Oz http://www.dva.gov.au/commem/anzac/ will explain it to you.

Dh will lead a contingent in the dawn service parade at our local suburban service. After that he'll go into the city to march with his Vietnam veteran contingent in the BIG march/parade. He's a 20 year veteran. I'm going to attend the dawn service, and the breakfast afterwards, with him. This year will be even more poignant for us with DS deployed. I try to attend every year to honour my Grandfather who served in Gallipoli. The services and parades now encompass all conflicts. My heart and thoughts are constantly with DS, tomorrow more so. He will be uppermost in my prayers and thoughts at the service tomorrow.

I cried in the baby aisle last week at Target. I felt foolish. I just have this feeling that I'll never have kids even though I love them. All those cute shoes - one pair of baby shoes that were pink and tied with a long silk pink bow. I might get those for my nieces.

I need to upload some pics so you all can see what 2 sets of twins under 2 look like! Too bad you can't hear what it sounds like. Invest in earplugs.

I'm always up late. It's 0330 here. I'll fall asleep around 0600 or 0700.

It is beginning to get cooler here now, beth. It's our autumn. We BADLY need rain in Oz!! A dreadful drought here.
