Angie, I pray for income, healing and pain control for you. (((((((((((

Work is over, gotta leave soon for jazz class, but I thought I'd leave you this before I go:
So, last night I thought I'd get to bed a little early. At 10:30, then, I'd stripped and used the facilities (pee only

), and thought the toilet was flushing a little sluggishly. We've had probs with this one before, so I plunged it a few times and then flushed it again, standing over it (buck naked, remember) to watch, dripping plunger in one hand. As the water level rose ominously, I dropped the plunger, removed the heavy ceramic tank top (quickly but carefully, as I've broken one in similar circumstances) and plunged my hand into the tank to lift the arm thingy that controls the flow of water. I grabbed and groped and couldn't seem to find it, (all the while the water in the bowl rose and rose and rose) then finally my fingers found something that gave, and I flicked that up. The sound of the water rising stopped, and I was momentarily relieved. Until I heard/saw, almost instantaneously, a column of water --- a geyser -- spewing from the tank! I frantically covered it as best I could with my hands (water squirting through my fingers anyway), diverting most of it into the tank . . but I could NOT figure out how to stop it, as I had NO idea what I'd done to START it!! So I yelled for dh to "Come help!!! I can't stop the water, the kids can't help cuz I'm naked!!!!" He was asleep on the couch, and it took two yells to bring him, eyes wide, with that deer-in-the-headlights look on his face, to find me, naked, leaning over the pot, with my hands positioned over the tank geyser, and the sound of splashing, running water in the room.
He ran outside to turn the water off. I moved various hair care bottles, positioned towels on the floor to sop up the water, and put a robe on while he examined the bowels of the tank. It seemed I had ripped the plastic lid off a column that controls water flow (duh.) to the arm thingy. He replaced it, I cleaned up and finished my shower, grumbling to myself about getting to bed late again.
Oh well, the floor is clean now.
Wonder what tonight will bring???
Oh, I almost forgot the Wacky Website:
www.its.caltech.edu/~atomic/snowcrystals/
"Snow Crystals (I almost typed "
snot crystals," lol!)
Visit this site to learn how snowflakes form, see how scientists create designer snow crystals in the laboratory, learn how to catch and photograph snowflakes yourself, and find the best places to go snowflake watching."
Bless you all.
