Hi Mary Ann! Thanks for starting the thread! I hope your shift is tolerable.

Well, I'm off for a few days, for various reasons (mainly cuz we're doing some music locally in the next few days, plus the kids' High School Academic Awards Banquet is tomorrow night)--- Yay! I go back to work on Wed.

Tonight I took oldest ds shopping for what now is his one nice outfit. He liked a dark gray pinstripe jacket and pants, and then he got a dress belt and a nice black silk shirt. Looks nice. Could use a little tailoring to make it fit better, but for now it's OK. He has to have something nice to wear when he graduates, yes?

Dh and I decided we'd do 3 verses of America The Beautiful at the Super Jam, Sunday Morning (0830!). We were going to do a gospel song and then America The Beautiful, but thought the three verses would be more patriotic and more in line with what we were asked to do.

No Holiday stuff for me. I have to work--Sun, Mon & Tues. Then I'll be off 3 nites--which will be nice. I work tonite & Friday nite also--but Charge Thurs & Mon nites----------YUK!!! Not Happy about that!!

Tonite is going nicely. We have good staffing--it looks like tonite, tho, will be 1 RN short. Figures. We're full tonite, but I have a couple who may go home. We have an hour In-Service this AM when we get off.
Just another Customer Service Program, but it's Mandatory. Oh well.

After work, DH & I have a little grocery shopping & then finally home.

My fascietis is a wee bit better, but not gone. So, I'm still a bit miserable.
I do the exercises faithfully!!

Well, better get going here.

Morning all, sky is darkening & it's about to chuck it down!! I'm mad because I put the karate gi's in the wash when it was blue skies & bright warm sunshine! Now I have to try & dry them before tonight & one of them is not supposed to be tumbled - mine, of course! Guess I'm just going to have to chance it, it's brand spanking new & needs shrinking a bit anyway!!

MY SAILOR IS BACK IN THE GOOD OL' USA !!!






Called me from Norfolk yesterday afternoon.. he was at the airport waiting for his flight out to Denver. We chatted for quite some time. Was sooooo good to hear his voice again.

He'll be in Denver for about a week spending time with his sweetie.. the girl he's known for ten years now, and with whom he had a brief relationship before they went their separate ways. She's the one who has loved him literally forever, and he was too young and immature back then to understand the value of that.
She has been his ROCK through his divorce last year and all throughout this lengthy deployment. He now realizes his mistake in letting her go and marryimg the little twit he did.

Anyway................. my baby is back on solid ground.
I know he's going to enjoy himself out there in Colo. with Miki ... he intends to enroll in Denver University once he's out of the Navy.

And next Friday, he'll be flying into Charlotte Airport, where I'll be waiting to pick him up.

Well, I went to the interview yesterday morning, only to find out that this Agency's client is the same one who would not return my phone calls or e-mails regarding a CM position over a month ago. I didn't say anything, but went ahead and filled out the application. Their client's own recruiters are obviously unable to fill this UM position themselves, otherwise they wouldn't have the Agency looking for someone. If they don't call me back for another interview by the end of the day tomorrow, I'll move on. I am not going to sit around and wait for the phone to ring. I'm growing weary of the games these recruiters are playing. Either they want me for the job or they don't, and they can at least give me the courtesy of a phone call or e-mail to say "yes" or "no" to that effect.

Good Morning all. I'm a bit frustrated this morning. Hubby has had me set the alarm for him all week at 0540. I ask are you really going to get up then, and he says yes. It is now past 0615 and I'm listening to him snore. I can't go back to sleep, the cleaning lady is coming today. So anyway I'm up for now. Maybe baby and I will go back to sleep after cleaning lady is done. My special daughters last day of school is today, my son's last day is tomorrow. It looks like it is about to pour down rain.
Enjoy your days! And Jnette glad to hear your son is back safe. If it makes you feel better, my husband and I had the type of relationship your son has with Miki. We were high school sweethearts, he broke up with me our Senior year. We found each other right before our 10th class reunion. We have now been married 11 years and 3 kids and both of us would do it all over again.
