G'day from me! Can't stop and play coz I've got to prepare tea!
It's Ham off the bone and salad tonight.
Grocery shopping today. We walked away with TWO trolley's full!
Took the two dogs for a walk and we did several laps around the oval.
DH progressing, S-L-O-W-L-Y. The shoulder giving him some grief today. I asked him what would he tell someone asking for advice on shoulder surgery. He replied; "Think HARD about it BEFORE you do it!"
Poor bloke, I do feel for him. Nothing worse than being in pain and unable to do all the things you want. Better times ahead.

I've been up since 1:45 a.m. and that makes it almost 24 hours. I really need to head to bed . . been paying bills and playing on the computer instead.

Good morning!

Planned my next vacation last night: Coronado, CA. Will be staying at the Hotel Del. I am very excited. I figure I won't tell my parents until the week before I leave. Otherwise, I'll hear my mom crying and telling me I'm not safe, that I'll end up dead and my dad will be giving me looks because he's sick of mom crying and it's all my fault. Mom doesn't comprehend that I will soon be 27 years old and that it is legal for me to leave the county. I'm going by myself because all my friends are married, some with kids and the one single friend thinks like my mother. I'd have more fun by myself.

Last week I went to Applebee's by myself (gasp!) and mom asked me why I would do such a thing. I replied "because I was hungry." I refuse to wait for some man to come along before I start living my life. One may never come along and then where will I be? Alone, and I would not have visited Coronado. Think I'll join the Peace Corps and see what she says


Almost done with Christmas shopping. I have my parents left. For my brother I got some great football tickets. Bengals v Steelers on 50 yd line, THIRD row. I got lucky. He's the happiest I've seen him in a while and he's letting me go with him! I told him if he wanted that he could take a friend but he wants me to go with him! I'm excited that my bro wants to spend time with his annoying little sister. I promise to try not to hit him. I will not try to hit him, I will not try to hit him.....

Bethin - Coronado's beautiful - some great restaurants there too!! Hope you have a great trip when time comes- you'll have to post some pics for us! It's been some years since I went there! Aren't parents funny - I wonder what my kids will be saying about me when I'm old & grey? Though they think I'm old right now! Mind you I'm totally determined to grow old disgracefully!!

Grace -mmmmmm ham off the bone, very tasty! Served with peas pudding too??? . Hope your DH gets better soon - post surgery roads to recovery can be long & painful - I hope it ends up being all worth it in the end.

Hope your shift went OK Mary, thanks for the coffee! However, at this hour of the morning I'm still sticking to Ceylon Tea!

I have 2 kids home from school sick - one I had to pick up on Wednesday & the other got there this morning & then said he didn't feel well enough to go in. Nothing specific - stomach aches, snotty noses etc, of course my DD went in no trouble, takes more than stuff like that to keep her off school. Boys can be such whimps!

This is supposed to be my day off!! Still, at least it's not happened on a work day! Next week is very busy, 3 shifts + study day, so I'm hoping they'll be right as rain by then because otherwise DH will be spending a lot of time working from home!!

Morning everyone...So I'm about to go to bed LOL. I've been watching King of the Hill season 6 on dvd all nite. My boyfriend hates it so since hes gone tonite I'd figured I'd get to watch it yea 2 more episodes to go. Later on I'll study for my test on Nerves and Senses. I started taking Topamax today so hopefully my killer migraines will reduce. Hope everyone is safe today. Its supposed to be in the mid 70's were I'm at and tomorrow 80's thats surprising cause earlier this week it was rainy and in the 50's.

Good Morning All,
New here to the premium forum (3 days), but been visiting the site for a month now. I love it here! I get to do my OR observation today. I'm hoping to see something interesting/enlightening. It'll be my first "real" experience with surgery on humans. I used to work at a vet's office years ago and assisted with lots of animal surgery, but I figure the experience is not quite applicable. Hope everyone's day is a fine one, and I look forward to getting to know you better.
