Lately I haven't been able to get any of those - my days off are too busy! What I wouldn't do for sleeping from 4 am to 4 pm... ah yes, those were the days, lol..

Nite Muffie!

There is actually a physiological response to smiling, even if you don't mean it -- releases endorphines or something ... so - KEEP SMILING Fran!

T was supposed to get out on a medical leave for 60 days, stress fractures both knees - (remember he broke his hand in June? Something isn't right...) Anyway - found out today that they denied it. He will be home-ish for two weeks at Christmas. I say "-ish" because GF lives 5 hrs away and Father lives 2 hrs away so - I may not get to see all that much of him.

Zoe, so sorry about the reduced leave-time for your ds.
I do hope he takes some of his leave to come visit with you.
Moms need to see their boys.
I ask this in all honesty, but knowing how the military is: have diagnostics been done on him, to find out if there is a physiologic reason for these three fxs??

Thanks for starting the thread, muffie.
Have a restful night.
You too, Siri!

We're back from jazz class, I ate a piece of pizza and now it's time to hit the shower and then the hay!

See you all later!

Good morning!

I completed an overtime 2-10pm shift a couple of hours ago, and shopped at my local Wal-Mart Supercenter for groceries shortly after my shift ended. It's payday, which means another pointless workplace inservice meeting that I must attend due to its mandatory nature.

Have a blessed day!

Re: Tgif Fri Oct 19

Hello everyone.
Early evening friday here.
Not feeling 100% today. I think the paint fumes might be giving me headaches! The painting's almost totally completed. Just a bit more to do tomorrow and then that's it!
DH saw the GP today, got the allclear from the colonoscopy. The polyps were totally benign. Praise the lord for that.
Still enjoying delightful spring sunshine here. We DO BADLY NEED rain though! The few drops last night didn't quite cut it.
Can you hear those gorgeous birds singing outside my window?
We live in a heavily tree'd area, and the birdlife is so abundant! BEAUTIFUL! The birdsong is ever present.
Mind you, at 0500 most mornings, I'm not quite as appreciative as I am later in the day! lol Those feathered darlings can get VERY LOUD!
Wishing everyone a safe and happy friday!
Cheers..............

Morning Muffie, Grace, Di, Commuter, ZBB, and sirI.

Just working tonight - I have the best assignment here (thank the merciful heavens), but have been giving some thought to the assignments that are given to newer nurses. There is a baby nurse here who needs a good night and soon - what support can I give to her????

Muffie, hope the hubby is not keeping you awake tonight.

Commuter, you statement about mandatory meetings made me laugh - it's good not to be staff right now!

I empathise with you, Steph.
I've been experiencing problems since upgrading to broadband, and have been in frequent touch with my ISP people. THey've sent a loan modem which arrived today. I'm to try it for the weekend and see if that makes any difference. So far, so good. Fingers X'd. I bought the modem I've got, brand new, from them when I upgraded! One wouldn't expect problems. I was repeatedly being dropped from the internet AND the speeds were woeful!
Hope you get your problems sorted soon! (((hug))) It can be SO frustrating!
