or Try this:

For every child at age 10, start saving $8 per day up to age 18; at that age, you will be able to give him/her a brand new car or a $20,000 cash gift.

This is not any different for anyone and is not specific to nurses even. It has been moved to the Break Room where it is more appropriate.

Good thread. A lot of people need to learn this lesson. They don't realize how much a even little saving can add up to over time, so, they squander their money and never save it. Then they regret it later on in life.

Throw your pocket change in a jar and save whatever you throw in there for a rainy day!
Seriously, in a five year span my DH and I have bought a refrigerator in cash, took a 5 day/4 night vacation to Jamaica, and we are currently planning our next vacation.
It's like free money because it was change that wasn't missed.
