Don, Vegemite is a spread.
We use it on toast, sandwiches, in scrolls, crackers.
It's also used to flavour soups, casseroles etc.

I'm gonna have to try to find it here. I have to be able to say I tried it, right? Unless, I just go to Australia. I think maybe that's a better idea.

jnette, thanks for starting this. although dsil is home for good d/t his injuries sustained in Iraq ; i remember too well what it is like to have someone in the service.

Nah.. completed my own USAF service time at the end of '72 and came to the US.

Went back in '81 and '91 for a visit.


But spent four years in England (50-54), and the rest of the time in Germany.

Weird and wonderful in Australia!

I've never tried that though.
I'm a vegemite and toast girl myself. EVERY morning for breakfast!
