I'd be eating brussel spouts and homemade lentil soup for dinner. I'd laughed in your face. I always hated brussel sprouts, smell like rotten dirty socks. But I like them now for some reason. But only freshly steamed with olive oil.

So what's for dinner tonight y'all?

Grilled chicken with sauteed mushrooms and onions, steamed green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, a cheddar and garlic fresh roll toasted in the oven with cheese on top, a glass of diet pepsi and a touch of whiskey (hee-hee! ! I'm off! ). Then, for desert: a dish of fresh fruit: pineapple, apples, strawberries, raspberries in chocolate mousse.

I am preparing everything now, so that when the season premier of "24" comes on, I WILL BE READY!!!!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm !!!! LOVE brussel sprouts! And so do my kids... always told them when they were little that they were teeny-tiny baby cabbages.. and broccoli was little "trees"... my kids grew up loving their veggies !

Love lentil soup, too ! The BEST ! Just don't like what it does to my tummy... gotta eat that on my days off.. heh...

We just had Roast Pork, mac & cheese, and baby peas.
Hubby cooked tonight! And he cooked tommorow nights dinner too so all I have to do is heat and serve pot roast with creamer pots, carrots, celery, onions. He's a pretty good cook but he admits I'm better at cooking. That's OK, I think it's better when he cooks!

I love the Green Giant frozen brussells sprouts!!

I had leftover meatloaf with sauteed green squash and wild rice. My husband and daughter had grilled cheese. Hubby's on rye and daughter's on wheat! Welcome to mom's diner!! And to think, I had a choice of one item when I was a kid! It was what my mom made or...nothing!
