Now that I've started the GM thread I don't have too much to say.

There's this nurse, we'll call "Mary". Mary was always a snot to me when we both worked med/surg and always had her nose in the air. She transferred to the ER several years ago and has been a bigger snot than ever. I see her occasionally when picking up patients from the ER for CT procedures. If I ask for a chart she just looks at me, doesn't even answer.

My nurse manager called me up at CT to inquire about her. I said No! I told him, she's smart, she's reliable but she is a snot and her personality will not fit in. He said he got that idea about her because she had already left him several not so nice voice mails about not returning her calls quick enough. Seems she really wants to work in medical imaging.

If "Mary" feels her calls are not answered fast enough, then she'll prolly decided your area is NOT a place she'd like to work.

Then SHE'LL dump Imaging, and not vice versa. It's a power thing.

Busy nite at work; Blood, Blood, Blood!!! Everyone's getting blood!!
All kinds of stuff going on plus I have many bloods to draw in the AM!!

We give blood, then take it away. Our pt's are always wondering about it!!

Well, a bit over 4 hrs left!! Can't wait for it to be over. I'm off Tuesday nite, and you know how anxious I get to have my nites off.
DH is planning to golf again this AM, so I'll have a quiet house to myself. Of course, Ii keep hearing that it's going to rain this AM, so I wonder if he will be able to go. He'll be disappointed if he can't golf this week. He really does love his golf!! You know, when he worked, he got out so seldom to the links, so he really does enjoy his days out there.

My sisters-in-law drove down to Ky. on the weekend to see my other sis-in-law with the newly DXed Lung Ca. They say she looks pretty bad but that her spirits are high. They aren't sure how she will manage once her daughter goes home. maybe some type of assisted living situation. Thing is, I don't think she can afford much.
Well, I guess they'll work it out. I know, DH & I want to drive down in a couple of weeks, too.

Tomorrow is my Sister's 37th wedding anniversary. I can hardly believe all these years have passed. WOW!!! It seems like yesterday that we were all getting ready for the big moment!!!
Oh well; I hope they're doing something special!!

Well, better get a move on here!!

Up early..as usual..and enjoying my coffee. Not much going on. Probably get together with my girlfriend sometime today. Haven't seen her baby (awake) in awhile and would love to hold her.

dd and dsil are headed to hospital today for his first follow ups; he is trying so hard to do well. had him out in the car this weekend , actually took him to a store with the w/c; he was poppin wheelies and trying to scare the %& out of me!

Top o' the morning to all you lovely ladies (and gents)...I plan on getting lots done today in the way of NCLEX prep! Had a heckuva lot of trouble sleeping last night (darn back of mine!) so I'm sure I'll be sneaking in a nap later on.
