I worked today. My little lady, 3 years older than I am, died surrounded by her family. She was at peace and pain free. What a lovely way to go. I know she was then able to wish her own mother a Happy Mother's Day in Heaven.
Dd is making supper for us this evening. Country fried steak, garlic mashed taters and corn on the cob. Yummy! Getting hungry just anticipating it.
Supper sounds yummy, Mar. Happy Mother's Day to you!!!

Re: Happy Mother's Day! 5/13/07

I talked with my step Mom who married my Daddy when i was 36.
Son, stepson and DH grand daughter called and sent cards.
DD and I send DH to play golf.
She is making us pizza Olympiad and salad with berries for dessert!

My DH is on your right. They call him "Tabby" because he's no Tiger Woods. The other guys are "Ice Cream Bill", "Freddie Foo Foo", and "Dickie poo".
They even give nicknames to people they just met so "Red Shirt John" could be wearing green.

So, we had this great cat named Jack and the kids would carry
him around and nothing ever bothered him. He used to hang out
and nap all day long on this mat in our bathroom...

Well we have 3 kids and at the time of this story they were 4
years old, 3 years old and 1 year old. The middle one is Eli.
Eli really loves chapstick. LOVES it. He kept asking to use my
chapstick and then losing it. So finally one day I showed him
where in the bathroom I keep my chapstick and how he could use
it whenever he wanted toHe was applying my chapstick very carefully to Jack's . . . rear end. Eli looked right into my eyes and said "chapped"...

And THAT is my favorite Mother's Day moment ever because it
reminds us that no matter how hard we try to civilize these
glorious little creatures, there will always be that day when
you realize they've been using your chapstick on the cat's butt.

Nope. No breakfast in bed or on the table for that matter. He's gone hiking for a couple days.

Heard from the children and grandchildren. Got my cards. The grandchildren colored on them and the youngest ones scribbled their, "I love you , MawMaw". Too cute.

Yup, been chillin' today. Watched a movie earlier. A little cleaning here and there. Getting dark now and fixin' to call it a day in a few.

Hope you had a good day!!

Well, I'm heading off to bed. Gotta work in the AM. Sleep well or have a peaceful night at work. For those that are starting another day, I hope it's sweet. Nighty-nite.
