Grocery Store Incident

I was in the grocery store last night, I like to shop late when all the crazy old ladies with carts are tucked safely into bed. I ALWAYS check the eggs for cracks and so on. So I had already picked up a few cartons and shuffled some around. I then noticed to my left a young man, looked to be his first trip for eggs without his mom, holding a carton of eggs. He opened his and looked at mine and leaned over to me and very innocently said, "What exactly are we looking for?" I swallowed so hard as not to laugh all over both of us. I managed to compose myself enough to say, "Dead ones."
LOL. His face went ten shades of red and I then told him, "Not really. I'm looking for cracked ones." He smiled and cracked a smile.

I just wanted to share a nice story with my nursing family.

Re: Grocery Store Incident

We have NO idea how or why this happened but I always check the eggs for cracks too and our little guy, when he was about 18 months, reached for an egg, put it to his cheek and then to his lips and kissed it and put it back in the carton. This went on for years.
