nice to see you Netters---and I always expect piccys from you and am not disappointed! Hugsssss

Yes, I still remain upset about Tim Russert and cried as well. Didn't know the man but he was so likeable....God rest his soul. I hope he didn't suffer. Was watching the Today show this a.m. and at the end when Matt Lauer was signing off, he was visibly upset, choking back the tears....then I lost it again.

GOOD MORNING ALL!!!!

Miserable weather down here. Storming, flooding. But, I'm in and will stay put. Thank goodness the power and sat connectivity are all back up and running.

Has been a very very busy past couple months. Today........this weekend........plan on doing absolutely nothing. Will be very nice indeed.

Hope you all .....stay safe!

Re: Good Saturday Morning, June 14, 2008

Good morning everyone. Kinda tired and might go back for a nap later. Ds had a Grand Mal yesterday. He's so hard to roll over on his side. He's much larger and stronger than I am and was sitting in a recliner which only made it more difficult. I yelled for dd's help so we're both pooped out and aching. Ds is sleeping right now. Later we might go out to Wal Mart for needed things but it all depends on how everyone is doing. He sounded Ok when he briefly woke up at 2 am. If history repeats itself, he should be fine for the next month or so. I hope.

Steph, I'm so glad graduation went well. You must be a proud mom!

Hey, Blue. Bladders have a way of doing that stuff to you as you get older. I'm 58 so I sympathize with you. I'm praying for your friend. I put up with emotional abuse for 15 years. He hit me once. Good for her that she's going to end it! It's very hard to get to the point when you can say enough is enough. I know you'll be a good back up for her so she can vent all her feelings. It's like greiving a death. Yep! I'm praying for her.

Morning, Joe. Enjoy your mini summer break. I know you'll do great in your new job. You're a smart guy.

Hi ya DD. Wanta come over here with Netters? I really need my house cleaned! It's a bit of a pig pen.

Morning Suzy. We've got a bunny that shows up in our front yard from time to time. Hope your fox doesn't meet up with our fluffy tail. LOL

Sabby, sounds like you've had a very busy week! Hope your honey feels better real soon. Maybe next week will be better. Sounds to me like you're a great hospice nurse and advocate. I hope that guy gets what he deserves.

Barefoot, you're a good wife. Can I come over? What's planned for the rest of the meal? As long as I don't have to cook, I'm fine with most anything.

Hi, Fun. I don't think I've said Congrats on your graduation. CONGRATS!!! You've worked hard for this. I know you'll do fine with NCLEX. Then it's over and a new life begins. YEAH!

Netters, I admire you for managing to keep everything so balanced on that overloaded plate of yours. I so wish that I was so organised. Not in this life time.xoxo As always, great piccys. Can I borrow your healing garden?

Siri, I've missed you. You need that rest. Put you feet up and veg. Must try to keep you well. Stay dry. How did MIL's BD go? I know you couldn't make it but I'm glad dh did. 100 years old! I'll be lucky to make it to 60!

To those I've missed, and to those who follow, have a wonderful God blessed day!

Good morning everyone!!!

I, too, was moved by the loss of Tim Russert. I feel like I knew him, somehow, and when I'd heard he died, I was shocked and deeply saddened. He seemed so genuine, in this age of instant stardom. MTP won't be the same without him.

We're participating in a neighborhood garage sale today. It's amazing what people will buy! There were people waiting for us this morning at 8 AM to open the garage door. The junk (things I never thought would sell) is gone. The good stuff (CD's, DVD's, VHS tapes, books...) are moving out one at a time... I cannot believe someone hasn't just snapped up my English Comp, Algebra and Chemistry textbooks...LOL! Doesn't everybody just LOVE that stuff??? Fred's working the sale; I'm writing a paper for Monday's class. Really.

It's hot, humid, sticky out there. I'm quite comfy in my A/C.

You all be well and be blessed. Prayers and good wishes to those in need.

Love, and peace.

Don

Re: Good Saturday Morning, June 14, 2008

Hi Don, Siri, Suzy, Compassion, Fun (woot!) DDRN, and all the others.

Second load of wash is on the line in the lovely summer breeze... *aaahhh* ... now I just need to dust this back bedroom, and clean the bathroom. All the rest has been done. YAY !

Don.. I never could bring myself to part with any of my books. Still have them ALL. Could have made a few good $$ had I sold them, now they're probably too outdated.. it's been 6 yrs. afterall. I do enjoy glancing at my bedroom bookshelf and seeing them all neatly lined up and knowing that I don't have to STUDY them anymore.... EVER !!! Gives me a great feeling of satisfaction.

Siri.. take some time just for Siri today ! Come October I shall be able to do the same!

Sabby Sue.. I was down off the mountain day before yesterday in YOUR neck of the woods doing a sign up. We were swamped with admissions, and when we have more than we can handle, they will ask one of the office nurses to go out and do one every once in a great while. We take turns. So I went down Fancy Gap Mtn. to the bottom of the mtn. and did an admission there. Was a nice break from the office, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Was a lovely ride.... even more so now with my new car and XM satellite radio !

OK.. back at it.... time's a-wastin' ! Might be able to pop in again this evening.

Oh.. in case you haven't seen my sweet Minnie-Moo lately, here's da baby ! Can't imagine how I lived without her.......... She's still a LITTLE doggie.. she's a year old and this is as big as she'll get.. which is LITTLE, really.. and I love it !

tn... I'd love to see what that little JACK looks like these days !

Our 2 fixators who lived close by both had them taken out this week, so I actually get to stay home this weekend in the mornings and enjoy my coffee out on the porch with dh and the birds in the early morning hours before getting Mutti up. I had been helping out the weekend call nurses doing these fixators for them to ease their load a bit, since they live just within a couple miles form my house.

So........ Mutti is up, cleaned, fed, her bedsheets in the wash, and she's working her morning puzzles. I will race around here and try to do some vacuming, dusting, cleaning bathroom, etc. Now that I'm working in the office 'til 3:30, then catch a patient on my way home still, I don't get home 'til 4:30. That leaves me very little time before supper to do much around here, not to mention having just a few minutes to change clothes, sip some iced tea and unwind.

So I need to catch up on Saturdays, as Sundays are reserved for Gavin.

I agree... I was in SHOCK when I heard about Tim Russert. Then I actually wept. I admired that man so much. He was always soooooooo genuine, so sincere, tough but FAIR, kindhearted, and downright lovable in spite of his amazing intellect and accomplishments. He will be sorely, sorely missed. Sunday mornings won't be the same without him on his beloved Meet the Press.

Dang, I hate that. He had such a love for what he did, and such a love of life and family. A marvelous, inspiring, human being. I just can't believe he's gone.

So I take it Danny Boy is feeling better... yay !

Sabby, hope dh gets that tooth taken care of.. they can be sooo distracting with that kind of pain!

Well, kids... don't have any time to play, must be getting my chores done around here this morning, I told Mutti I'd take her to town this afternoon. We'll poke around in a few stores, and stop for a frozen yogurt on the way home. Getting out will be a real treat for her.

Hope all of you have a marvelous weekend !!! (((HUGS))) to all !

OH! Want to see my office?

And my soothing little "healing garden"....

Ummmmmmmmmmmm where is my photo I sent you????
