I'm just winding down, here.
Did a few piddley things around the house. . .

Dh got the trailer out of storage, it's parked in front of the house, will pack and load it tomorrow nite/Wed morning.
As soon as it's loaded and we're ready, we're off to Mojave Narrows for the Huck Finn Jubilee.
The festival runs from Fri - Sun, but campers are allowed there Wed - Mon, so that's when we'll camp.
Lots of folks arrive on Wed., and it only gets more and more crowded as Friday approaches!
I enjoy being there while folks are setting up their camp, walking around the little lake and enjoying the quiet, the proverbial calm before the storm, lol!
Come Friday the vendors will be setting up and the music from The Big Stage starts at noon, I believe.
The daily programs end around 6 or 7, but the jamming goes on into the night, every night.
Jam sessions break out under awnings of ppl's RVs, under trees, or anywhere you can get 'two or three together.'
Monday is always a bittersweet day, folding camp and watching friends do the same. Kinda sad.
Good memories made, though.

OK, gotta check the dryer so I have scrubs to wear tomorrow.

G'day from Down Under!

My tuesday has seen me enjoying a few hours at one of our major shopping centres. Spend spend spend!
Bought a couple of CD's I've wanted for ages: a Tony Bennett compilation and one by IL DIVO. Enjoyed browsing the shops and bought a few other bits 'n' pieces. The end of financial year stocktake sales are on and there's some good bargains to be had.

Well I wonder what today will bring in the wonderful world of Hospice. All I can say is my preceptee is getting a good idea of things that can go 'wrong' hahahahahahhaaha

Hubby is getting ready for his first day of clinicals at Brenner's Children Hospital and he has a wee bit of anxiety. I am sure his day will go well and he will learn heaps.

We missed a huge storm last night got a few drops of rain, thunder and lightening but did not get the gullywasher I was hoping for whaaaaaaaa

Another hot hooooooomid day here way up in the 90's, praying for rain every day.

The deer are coming through the front of our property now and going down to the creek that runs through the bottom, to stand in the water and drink leisurely. They truly are magestic creatures. The heat must be getting to them as they are in no hurry these days.

Well my friends I need to get myself ready this morning and be on the roads early.

Nothing much going on today. Kirsten is going to Drill Team Officer Camp today, and is already on her way. Kaylee spent the night at a friend's house, and Alan has left for work already.

I'm just going to kick back and read the NCLEX review book, and hope to not fall back to sleep from complete boredom.

Morning!

Got a new alarm clock and accidentally set the alarm. So I woke up fairly early this morning, fell back to sleep, and had a strange dream about storms (common enough around here).

Have my practice exam early this afternoon, should go well. I'll go early...a nearby street has been redesigned to look like the 1930's for the movie Public Enemy Number One and I want to see it while it's still there.

Going to hit some museums Wednesday and Thursday, then use Friday to get ready for my all day orientation to my job on Saturday.
I was going to go on a long drive somewhere, but I figure I'll wait on that until I get a longer break, about 2 weeks, between summer and fall.

Good morning!

Well, much to my surprise, that job is not for me - there are more deranged, psychotic people in that office than there is in a psych hospital. I couldn't take it anymore. Ahhh, the screaming!!!! Kinda sad but I know there's no way I could handle that for any period of time. It was awful. The srcreaming, the crying, the cussing....it's all too much. And this firm is known to be prestigious. I know what that word means and they are not prestigious.

So now I'm back to looking.
