Re: Good Morning Tuesday June 10 2008

arrrrrrrrggggghhhhh!!

i don't know what to do.
ed looked at a 2004 toyota celica gts this morning.
this guy is selling it for thousands less than the book value.
it's in mint condition and a steal for the money.

but.
ed calls it a low-rider.
you know, one of those sports cars that is low to the ground.
he fears that we will be moaning/groaning ea time we get in and out of the car.
(hmmph- he can speak for himself)
yet...
i'm not the sports car type, at all.
however, toyota's reliability is well known and well founded.
would you older folks buy a sports car?

Good morning all!

Leslie, um yes to the sports car even if I were 100 and they would still let me drive.

Got ballgames again this pm and my have to go help my parents over the noon hour today. Dad has a CD rom thing...he calls it and he has forgotten how to make those things go on the puter.

Have a splendiferous day all!

Morning

False alarm about my son feeling better . .. he threw up again last night and had a fever. So, two days of the last 5 of school, he is home sick. I hope he makes it for the last day party!

Our school district has been hit with so many viruses this year PLUS we made the paper with an outbreak of chicken pox!

We did get more sleep last night though - but more coffee always sounds good.

jnette - thanks for that photo and I agree he is a cutie . . oh and Gavin too.

Oh dang, Steph. Poor guy....he's been through the twister with illnesses it seems. (...Or maybe it's just me bouncing back in on the morning thread when he happens to be sick!)

Leslie.....go for it. If people did things only because other people approved, NOTHING WOULD GET DONE, OR PURCHASED!!! There's always going to be at least one do-gooder putting their negative opinions out there. (Hmmm....I tried to make that a positive opinion.)

These viruses have gone through the entire community - I just don't write about THEM He is feeling better.

Leslie - you need a 1967 Camaro . . .

I asked my 23 year old about a Toyota Celica and he said it is just like a Honda Civic and they are both "economy" cars. He and my oldest both drove Civics for awhile. Good on gas, motors last a long time.

My husband had a '67 Camaro . .. and sold it for a pickup when he was still single.

Our kids give him such a hard time about that.

My first car was a mustard yellow Chevy Vega . . . they do not give me a hard time for getting rid of that.

p.s. YES, this older person would love a sports car and I've been hoping one day to find and afford a '67 Camaro.

Nice looking car, Leslie!
I have to agree about the Toyota's reliability and such.
I have a Toyota Matrix.
