Hi Everybody-

I'm off to bed after I kick dh's butt for smoking in the house!

Tweety-

Your refrigerator man doesn't look like Dan Akroyd in the SNL sketch, does he?

Good morning, all.

Mary Ann I'm glad to hear that your hubby was not too seriously injured. I'm sorry you had to go through that uncertainty and frustration, though!

Tweety I hope all is well with your fridge and I'm super impressed the guy came at the early part of the day...I think the next time I need service I will have you set the appointment up as you seem to have good luck.

Suzy I hope work improves for you...you are in my thoughts.

Nothing much planned for me today...work and some schoolwork. My allergies are going crazy so I can't decide if I should go run or not. I feel fine physically but I am a little cotton-headed and sinusy. I really hate allergies and I've dealt with them since childhood - at least I don't get sinus infections like I used to (/knocks on wood).

I hope you all have a wonderful day.

cheers!

Good morning all! Have a good sleep, Grace!

Thanks for starting the thread, space!

Mary Ann, I'm so sorry to read about your dh! I hope he remains comfortable with the pain rx, and that he heals quickly.

Diane, so sorry about your sprains! I hope you report the lack of signs to the appropriate person. Much as I hate seeing those signs around, they ARE important!! Take care of yourself and heal quickly!

Tweety, so what's the word on the fridge???

Greetings to all previous and future posters ! ! !

I have some house cleaning and a few errands to do today. I still can't believe we cleaned that back room out, it was SUCH a mess, and now it's empty, empty!! And now the backyard is full of shelving and odds and ends, but we can sort thru those in time . . .

Dh has the afternoon and tomorrow off. I may be able to conscript him into helping with some stuff at home, this afternoon. Tomorrow we go to Disneyland. The kids start school on Monday!

That's about it from here! Since I've been off work this week, I've really enjoyed being able to check on the BB any time of day! Work does interfere with the pursuit of pleasure, eh? Don't get me wrong, though: I do like my job, and am thankful for it.

I'll check in later, gotta scoot over to Lowe's with some room measurements and see about linoleum. . . BBL!

Good mornin' me lovies. How are you all today? I will be spending most of the day in bed with my teddybear, Freckles, because I had so much pain in the right side of my chest last noc after I went to bed, I had to take some Roxinal. I slept a lot, but am still tired, so will take it easy today. I dread that pain. It's so awful. I'm done. Ennyway, I truly hope you all have a wonderful day today. May you be blessed with everything that's good for you.
The head lady was just here, and she said " "Why are you up miss Fran? I told her that I'm only answering a couple messages on my puter than I'm going to zonk out for the day. Oiy wat a dull life I do hold.

Siri! lets go get drunk on (whatever will make us drunk in a hurry)That way I'll forget all ab out everything, 'n stagger home and fall into bed and sleep the day away.

Good Morning from home.

On my 2nd cup of coffee and gonna go jog here in a bit.

Tweety - our washing machine is leaking and it happens about once a year. Our repairman needs us to bring the machine to him and it is in the deep dark basement with the very narrow doors built in the 1920's . . . .kinda hard to do. So, we just let it leak for now . . it is just a little leak

It has been lovely and cool at night and about 88 during the day. Perfect weather.

Went to a goodbye party for a co-worker yesterday evening - it was at one of my fav mexican restaurnants. Can I just say women (of all ages) can get raunchy.

My 5 year old has requested sausages with syrup for breakfast . . .. coming up honey!

Hi Franny

Hmmm, Freckles is a very cute name for a teddy bear When I was a tot, I used to call mine Afcons.

Didn't I tell you I had a very strange childhood?

Tweety: OOoooh! I'm open to criticism! Heck, criticise me all you want - but please do it in an effective manner. The point of criticism is so that I learn something and don't make a mistake again.

If all the criticism does is put me down, it's a waste of your time, my time and the patients time.

I'm not very fond of repairmen too - and I really despise the "between 4 am till 8pm} spiel - dude, I don't care if it's at 11 noon - pick an hour and stick to it! Don't make me hang around for 6 hours - you have stuff to do.... well, SO DO I!

Mary Ann: Glad DH is better

NurseyBaby: You're expecting and DH is smoking in the house?

Hi Steph, Siri, rn2bnj, jaxiskelyl

Re: Good morning, good morning! 8-17-2006

Well the guy came and went. It was only a problem with the fan, which he fixed and fridge is as good as new and it was under warranty. Just inconvenient.

I agree Roy. People shouldn't be torn down when they criticize. Often I think people don't deliberately criticize that way to intentially demean the other person, but they are really only subconsciously trying to build themselves up, make themselves look superior in someone's eyes, so it's really not a "I'm going to eat this guy alive just to bring him down", it's "I really don't feel good about myself and it helps me feel better about myself to be critical and judgemental of others". KWIM? Both approaches are wrong.

Of course there's always the person who can't handle criticism. Me: "you did good but you didn't notice you contaminated the glove, now please start over......." Student: "OMG! I'm such a stupid idiot, I'll never be a good nurse......"....later in the break room "That Tweety is too particular, he's always picking on me." (Their own lack of self-esteem is lifted by gossiping about me)............two sides to every story.
