Kind of a crazy day at work this morning, but it settled down in the afternoon. Tonight my colleague who does raptor rescue is releasing five barn owls in a friend's backyard (backyard abuts a canyon, and he also has a lot of gophers ). My friend C and I will be going out to see the release. Too cool!!

Tomorrow night is the last play in the little area theater (to which we have season tickets), so I'm taking the two ds's and we'll have "a night out at the theatre." But without the hoity-toity . . it's jes' plain ol' us!

I better get ready to go. BBL!

Jnette, I just love your pictures! But, being the big old cat fan/sucker that I am, I really loved Charlie. He's not useless! He's just storing up his energy for a kitty emergency, that's all. And getting his vitamin D in the window is quite important for such a handsome feline. Also, he understands that it's a human's job to pamper him so he's trying very hard to cooperate to keep you happy and fulfilled. A kitty's work is never done.

Jnette, you've just got to get to the library and pick up a book (or 2 or 3) by Shirley Rousseau Murphy. One of her "Joe Grey Mystery" series. Trust me. You'll love them! The latest one that I've read is "Cat Breaking Free". You'll fall in love! Then let me know what you think. That goes for any other cat person. You, too, Don and Marla.

P.S. Yes you can, too, find the time! Some escape reading in that hammock is good and necessary for body and soul. So there! :P
