Good morning!!

Didn't do a darn thing yesterday. Laid in bed on my side in the hopes that this tailbone pain will go away. Need to go to the dr but then I read that to check to see if tailbone is broken, they do a rectal. I think not. Exit only.

I'm going to babysit my nieces this afternoon. Yay. Twin girls who have sissy fights and are going through the terrible two's. Fun. On Wed, Emma had a toy that Kennedy decided she wanted and Kennedy kept chasing Emma trying to get the toy. Finally, poor Emma, tired and broken from evading Kennedy, starts beating the toy repeatdly on the floor - exactly as I do when I'm mad. Emma had that look on her face that she was going to explode and it wasn't going to be pretty. I gently coaxed Emma to give up the toy. Too much pressure for such a little girl. That Kennedy can be relentless.

I worked for 4 hours on Wed on a different floor than my norm - LTC that is part of the hospital. It's next to OB and much to my amusement a toddler comes screaming down the hall yelling "no baby, throw out, throw baby out!!!". She was completely unglued. Hilarious. But I felt sorry for the parents. Dad was chasing her and when he came back through holding her we all had stunned looks on our faces. He said she was not taking kindly to her new baby sister. Makes me wonder how my nieces will do when the new one (or two) arrives. I'm always right there with them, they always have my attention and my mom's attention so it will be interesting to see what happens when attention is diverted.

I was wondering when someone would start the thread!!!! I even posted asking when someone would!
I've been waiting patiently to post my greeting for today!
I'd promised not to start the thread for a week, and am keeping true to my word!
Hope your coccyx pain soon abates, Bethin. Don't blame you for not wanting an examination!
Hope everyone enjoys their FRIDAY.
Mine was spent quietly. apart from grocery shopping, nothing too exciting. This time next friday we'll be in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. :hatparty:
I'll try and pop back here later and hopefully, join in the fun, in REAL time, FOR-A-CHANGE! Provided of course, I can stay awake late enough! lol

Awww, bethin, so sorry about your discomfort. You CAN refuse the rectal; could they just examine you except for that, and then get the X-ray? Although, if it's bruised OR broken, the treatment is the same, yes? "No weight-bearing, take two aspirin and call me in the morning." Hope whatever is hurting is better every day.


Grace, be sure and fill us in about Queensland! I have to look it up this weekend, I'm nosey! Oh, and we're going to Disneyland tomorrow (Friday, which is your today, but it's still my Thursday, Yesterday, which will be my Today in a few minutes, and it'll still be your Today, until it becomes your Yesterday, while it's still my Today, while you're heading into Tomorrow . . . :uhoh3 :uhoh3 Crazy, lol!). Dh and I will RUN to get on Pirates ride, as he's not been on it since the changes. I'll be thinking of you and your dh!!!

Aren't you having your winter right now? Queensland must be the Florida of Australia.

Been home 3 weeks from my cruise and already planning the next vacation. No, I am NOT taking my mom. Maybe in a few years we'll go on vacation again. This time a friend and co worker are going to Myrtle Beach in June 2007. We could go sooner, but she has 2 kids in school and we have to wait for them to get out. Hotel is directly across the street from the beach and we got a VERY good price. Whole thing will cost me less than $500. Listen to me, I'm already excited and it's only August! I love the beach and the ocean. My only dream, apart from a ride in an F-16 fighter jet, is to own a beach house in So Cal.

Went to the gas station and shared a pump with a Porsche Cayenne. Hot guy driving it too. Almost asked him for a ride but I was still in my scrubs. Living in a small town you don't see too many Porsche's. Almost, well, almost had a spiritual experience - wink, wink.

I've thought about refusing it. But my doctor also sees pts on the med/surg floor I work and I don't want him to think I'm a difficult pt. Oh, heck, I'll refuse anyway. Just send me to x-ray. Can't do anything for it, but I don't want to have problems years from now. Heard that a coccyx compression fx can cause leg pain, which it already is. Nip this in the bud (no pun intended) now.

Have fun at Disneyland. I've never been to any Disney park. I think I'm a minority.
