AAGH! Insomnia!
Or is it addiction to allnurses that keeps me up?

Nothing special planned today.

My foot still hurts from the accident @ work....might make an appt with the podiatrist just to see. It's much better but still hurts more than it should, I think.
Going to call the guys to come do maintenance service on the a/c since we will obviously need it.
Going to read my book and play with my son.
DH is probably going to cut some yards today.
We will probably have breakfast for supper tonight. Pancakes are one of my ds's favorite things.

We've been getting hummingbirds lately. We all love watching them. I think they are attracted to the lovely flowers outside (impatiens and a rosebush) that DH has cultivated. That man can make anything grow.

And, I will probably find some excuse to listen to Elvis today and tomorrow.

insommia is my middle name...people from allurses have begun to throw bad tomatoes at me
i don't like to eat when i wake up it takes my tummy until about noon to wake up but i do love breakfast foods at any meal.i love going to cracker barrel because you can order breakfast anytime yo go in
my dsil always has hummingbird feeders out in her yard but she is the type of person that birds, little children, all animals, old people love at first sight her flowers grow and the hummingbirds tell each other where the best feeders are
i have not tried lunesta but a nurse i worked with said they gave her a bad taste in her mouth the next day

Arwen, you're up late! Hope that foot feels better soon and that the Lunesta does the trick. Insomnia really stinks, doesn't it? I had some trouble staying asleep last night myself.

We got home about an hour ago from the hospital...darling fiance's grandmother tripped out in her garden earlier today and broke both her wrist and hip. We went over to visit her and my gosh, that ED....! So gross. But she's getting good care and is scheduled for either an arthroplasty or to have pins put in tomorrow. Poor Nanny...she was so doped up on morphine, she barely recognized us!

We're watching our latest flick on the Blockbuster queue, Kings of Comedy, but I'm not really all that drawn in. Started reading The Virgin Suicides today, and gosh, it's great!

Well, off to finish the movie. Will be working tomorrow from 3-9 for some extra moola.

Stopped by the grocery store after work for fruit and bread.
Got home, took oldest ds out driving (he drove).
He's GOT to get some experience!!
We drove around the neighborhood, then home and ate.
Then he drove us to the mall and back (at night, no less!).
We passed an accident and were directed to a diff't way home than we had planned.
Well, that's life, isn't it?

Dh and I are gearing up for Summergrass bluegrass festival in Vista next weekend.
We're off Wed. to finish getting ready and I think we'll drive out there on Thurs morning.
Our campsite will have electricity, so we'll get to use the A/C and microwave (if we want, that is).

We'll go see dh's mom on Sat morning, take her to breakfast (she lives 15 min from the campground).
Some friends will be driving out on Sat. to spend the night (and jam!).
We'll pack up Monday and leave.

I'm SO looking forward to it!!

Time to get ready for bed.

this afternoon need to pick up son's school schedule and pay school fees. he starts school on the 22nd, wow is that monday! time flies.

A slightly rainy day here in Ottawa, but going to make the best of another day without children and head out with muffie for lunch and some retail therapy. The painter guy is suppossed to be almost finished and then maybe I can unpack some boxes and get on with life. What a mess this summer has been, doing renos is a very painful, but the end result is great. Just be glad when it is all done. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good Morning peeps!!

It's gonna be a real scorcher here today. We have been w/o A/C since June. We didn't win the oldest A/C contest someone had one that was made in 1967!!

We have fans everywhere! My van has a/c and so does my office but my dh works in a bakery and has to come home to a very hot house!!

Good morning from a cold and rainy UK again - its only 61 degrees here and I can't wait to see a bit of summer - what's happened to the weather?? Am off to Italy next week, and it should be really good fun! Will miss you guys of course, but am looking forward to the sunshine.

Will be AWOL now for a while as I am travelling 200 miles tomorrow to a job interview and then am playing taxi for a lot of relatives to different airports over the next few days - to all that come after, and all that have come before, I wish you happy holidays and best wishes!
