G'day and to FRIDAY!

Wishing everyone a safe, happy and healthy day!

We've had RAIN in Australia! Giving thanks to the rain god's for MUCH needed relief from the dreadful drought. We need a LOT more rain, but at least this is better than none!

My friday's been spent quietly, it's been a busy week and I'm grateful to have a quiet day today. I need to check more threads and complete reading the GM threads of recent days and catch up on the news etc.

Wishing all the very best from "Down Under"
Cheers...................

Good evening Grace!

Aww, no walk on the beach? I wish I lived close enough to a beach that I could take a leisurely walk in the morning and drink my coffee. Someday.

So, how hot is it there? Are you burning up?

Hope you have a good night.

it is night there, isn't it? I get confused about time changes.

Re: Friday 19th January, 2007

Hi Beth, yes it's early evening here now. We've been having temperatures in the 40's (celsius), which is HOT! Just about every state in Australia has been battling bushfires. Add to that the drought, and it's been a dreadful summer.
No beach walk today! I'm actually really very tired at present. Guess the weather doesn't help make one feel energised. I also have an ongoing battle with gastric reflux which gets wearing at times. Still, those are minor things compared to the suffering of others. We've just had another glorious downpour from the heavens! The land really needs the rains!
Hope you enjoy your friday!
Cheers............

You're still having problems with your reflux? I have a hiatal hernia where I would wake up in the middle of the night and throw up. Also had refllux. But since I had my gallbladder out I haven't had any problems. Just occassional reflux d/t something I eat.

Hope you feel better. It's no fun.

Re: Friday 19th January, 2007

Thanks, I hope it clears up soon too. It had subsided, but for some reason has flared up again. I've re-commenced taking Nexuim 40mg hoping that might help. Apart from that and feeling so darn tired at present, I'm really fine. I don't know how one is supposed to feel at 56 years old, so maybe getting a tad tired now and again is normal. I have been told I'm not 20 something anymore and should ease off a bit with the pace I keep most days. lol I'm not at all fond of this tired feeling that's for sure!

Good afternoon Grace and good morning others, and good night to others!
Bethin, I'm glad you' didn't have to be admitted. Hope you feel better soon.
Grace, tired is OK in my book. I'm sure you're always busy; taking a break is OK.

Just got in from jazz class, time to take a shower and go to bed.

Today's Wacky Website:

It's 49 degrees tonight (so far) which is a BIG improvement over 34, thankyouverymuch!

Gotta go, see you all later! --- D

Re: Friday 19th January, 2007

Well, hello, Friday!

One of the best things to do for a cold/flu is rest/sleep. Well what do you do if you can't SLEEP?? Last nite I got an HOUR of sleep and woke up from a nightmare (one of those "it could happen" dreams). I did get a couple quick and light naps in the daytime. Went out for a couple hours this eve...

And now here it is 3:30 am and I can't sleep again! I did take some benadryl but it isn't kicking in... part of the problem is an upstairs neighbor has been playing "Crunk" or whatever you call that music (where the bass reverberates thru the whole building). Just when I would be ready to go up and complain, it would stop ... I'd drift off... it would start ... idiots...

Enjoy your day!! I will end up sleeping most of it, dang it!!!

That site is just plain mean. I don't want to watch people basking in the sun when the snow is still sticking to the ground. It's supposed to be a balmy 30 today with winds. Woohoo! Break out my tank tops.

Sorry you're sick. It certainly is making it's rounds. About the noise - call the police. There are noise ordinances in many cities. That way they can keep track of how many times they have to come to his place to tell him to knock it off.

I'm a night owl but I would never play music loudly at night. I'm amazed at how often people think only of themselves.

Get better soon.
