Re: Friday 19th January, 2007

Ok I'm home everybody.

Jnette, sorry Adam is stuck for three more weeks. Extentions are very common these days.

Colonsocpy is fine. Clean as a whistle. Especially after yesterday. Other than the bowel prep, there's nothing to it.

I hope all is well with everyone.

It didn't go well. She said that during the game (just as it started), she blew her nose and it started bleeding. Bled and bled and bled and couldn't manage it. Went to the first aid station and they applied pressure for about half hour with no luck. The clots in back of throat, etc......you know.

Her b/p was elevated and they said she needed to be transferred to ED. So, via ambulance, she was taken to ED. Stayed there for a few hours, cauterized nose, packed, rec'd meds for the n/v due to clots swallowed, etc.

Needless to say, missed the entire game and home very very late (early morning).

Anyway, she's not feeling at all well. Prayers appreciated for her.

GET WELL, tn!!!!!!!!!!
OH WOW !!!

What a BUMMER !!!
tn.. I am so sorry !!! The last I heard (about last weekend) was about the eye, and that you had gotten medicine for it. The I wasn't around much this weekk to keep up with things. I had no idea you had gotten worse. Bless your heart. And then THIS last noc at you long awaited game! How horrible for you ! Please rest, and take care of yourself. You poor thing.

Please hurry and ((((((((hugs))))))))

Had a good 2 hour nap. I was out cold. Took me forever just to get up and moving around once I woke. Now I have to run into town and pick up my weekend schedule and callbook.

Just call me the weekend call-girl.

See yas later!

Oh jnette, sorry to hear about Adam. Three weeks is a long time when he's been gone such a long time - at least it seems like it.

My best friend's husband got back from Iraq a month ago and she called me crying in the middle of the night - talks are he will probably go back. They've been married for 3.5 years and have lived together for about 4 months. His superiors told him that "if the army wanted you to have a wife, we would issue you a wife." Not very comforting.

Re: Friday 19th January, 2007

Sorry you're in so much pain, Angie. You have a hard time, ((((hugs))))

Kat.. glad all was ok with your scope. Good news indeed!

jmg.. woohooo for you !

bethin... wow. I hate that for your friend and her dh. I truly do. I can handle Adam being gone a few more weeks.. I just hate it for him and his mates. Seven mos. is long enough on a ship, another three weeks seems like an eternity to them. Bummer. But, they can still count their blessings. At least they have showers and clean sheets... even if their beds are no more than a hard slab half the width of a door.

OK.. should be an ok weekend IF .. the big IF.... I don't get any extra calls, emergencies, or post-hospital d/c readmits.

Only have to see two patients tomorrow, and one on Sunday. Hope I don't get any extra calls... keep those fingers crossed!

He is a deputy fire and aviation chief for the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. He said it is his opportunity to repay his Australian counterparts for helping fight the Bar Complex fires that scorched more than 100,000 acres of Trinity County over the summer. He will join 107 U.S. Forest Service firefighters from the US. Anyway, I thought of you.

My plans for the day are to try to jog . . . . and head to Chester with my ds after preschool to see Daddy.

Hope you all have a great day, cold or not . . .oh, and Beth is right, that website is mean.
