Does Santa wrap gifts at your house?
|
|
Since the aim of the question is to gather opinions, if you have one on this matter, go ahead and answer even if Santa doesn't actually visit your house (no kids, grown kids, naughty kids, etc.)

Not exactly sure what you mean with this. Do you mean are all presents wrapped and placed under the tree and in the stocking??
Ummm, all gifts for the girls are wrapped, under the tree, have bows and name tags. (one of the traditions we have in my family is we wrap all the gifts on Christmas Eve together. The older daughter loves to wrap so she goes for the gusto and wraps her little sisters gifts, gifts from the kids to us etc)
I like to wrap stocking stuffers too. My kids get a charge out of unwrapping gifts no matter how large or small, expensive or not. Hubby just shoves the stocking stuffers in the stockings. Then later on, I had the older daughter her little sisters stocking and she wraps the things in it and I grab the older ones stocking and wraps those)
All gifts are wrapped to others as are gifts given to us. I guess we are just wrapping fools

Santa would leave out 2-3 big items then wrap others with wrapping papper purchased year in advance so kids would not have seen it in stores. DH Claus would artfully arrange items and if not satisfied with 2 sons piles changes gifts he got so even looking display in front of tree... all SPOUSES ideas.
We started idea of Santa wish list posted on refrigerator door since one Chritmas EVE found DH shopping at 5Pm for toy 5 YO son really, really, really wanted for Christmas ....Five spaces under each sons name and Sants would brig 2-3 items on list "as had to make sure all children in neighborhood got one of the most popular toys." 22 yo son asked after Thanksgiving when list going up this year. Last year I was told I "spoiled Christmas" as took him with me shopping for brother and husbands gifts....he wanted to be suprised by seeing brother unwrap gifts.
Looking over gifts this year 2 sons requested last night, DH Claus worring mightily about this years display:
Oldest son: computer IT student
19" 2mm speed Flat screen computer monitor
refurbished Creative Zen Touch 20 GB mp3 player
Hellgate London prerelease key
--purchased online via ebay so just printout on sheet paper
Shirt
Batteries
Youngest son: culinary arts student
chef knife
bread knife
knife sharperner
3 huge glossy books cusine Poland, Germany, Italy
wine rack to store wine bought on student trip to France
1 year Xbox live card
Book: Children of Harin
GPS unit as works for catering company
Digital camera (borrowed mine 2x for school trip/projects)
....still waiting for external hard drive ordered online for oldest so will probably make computer card with picture of purchase. Fully expect DH Claus to purchase something else from Radio Shack to add to oldest pile.
Stockings include these items yearly: shaving cream, razor blades, deodorant, tooth brush, bag chocolate coins(tradition from my mother), combs, hersey wrapped candy, cough drops and gift card to Borders/Wawa (regional convenience store)/McDonalds....all unwrapped!

The only ones Santa doesn't wrap are the big ones like wagons, trikes, etc. Otherwise they all get wrapped so I voted that all get wrapped.

Pixie, got a question: if you all wrap gifts together, how do you keep them a surprise?

The gifts that Santa brings are left, unwrapped, near each person's stocking.
Sometimes he brings a surprise gift for, say, dh.
THEN that gift is wrapped.

Tazzi,
The hubby, older daughter and I wrap the little ones gifts from Santa on Christmas Eve night.
I and the hubby wrap the older daughters gifts.
The kids wrap their gifts to us from them.
This year, we mixed it up a bit. The hubby and older daughter have been wrapping a little each night while I study, gather info for a report thats due when we get back from Christmas break. They thought they were in the clear for tonight..hehehe..little do they know that there are more gifts in the trunk of the car...bwaahhhaaahaa.
I have ALL the wrapping for the older one to do.
