Working in a physicians office as a CM

Does anyone know if it is ethical to work as a work comp case manager in a specialists office (neurosurgeon) I am also a Legal nurse consultant. A few years ago when I was working in the field a surgeon talked to me about working as an independent CM in his ofice and from my home - to be honest I did not know how to respond! I was not sure exactly what I could do to help or do the job! Now I am wondering - please advise if you know how to talk to him and is it ethical? Thanks for your advise!
