I have just been layed off from my case management job of 17 years. Company downsizing. I am thinking about doing contract work (no openings in case management with other companies in my area right now) but not sure how to get started as far as starting a buisness in my own name. Any suggestions. Do you need legal advice? Buisness license, so many questions. I have a CCM and current RN License. Tidenurse

Were do you live. I just went from field case manger to telephonic and love it. Do not miss driving. As far as I know there are tones of jobs in the Chicagoland area. As to starting your own bussiness. We had our own my husband loved it I did not. We worked hard and made milliions, different industry. I still work because I love it, but at my age I would not start a company due to the constant demand on time and personal $$$$$. I like getting my paycheck and going on with my life.

To do telephonic case management is it normally a requirement that you live in a specific area or can it be done remotely as well?
