New to Case Mgmt in Nursing Home setting

I entered into long term geriatric care 3 months ago and had the opportunity to move to a Case Mgmt position. I don't know anything about it and the person who is training me isn't exactly helpful. Any tips from current Case Managers out there? I will be going to a MDS class but not until after the first of the year. Thanks!

Clearly this isnt the most active forum...unfortunately, I have no experience in LTC, so I can't help you much. What exactly is it that you are looking for? Maybe if it is something not specific to LTC I could help (?) Or maybe you will get more responses by being a bit more specific?
